I thought the video was great. It illustrates excactly what is happening to our world, and makes it pretty obvious that we have to do something before it’s to late. The music was good, and so was the pictures. A lot of information in 6 minutes and 57 seconds. I don’t know if I can say so much more about it, but it was a reminder to do what’s right for the nature.
I think Norwegian people should try to reduce their emissions and encourage the rest of the world to do the same.
I’m convinced that one of the most important choises we can make, is what car or truck to buy, and what refrigerator, dishwasher and air-conditioner to choose when you’re shopping for house-supplies. Since people in Norway are not required to decrease their disposal as much as countries like USA and China, it’s easy for us to forget that we have the same responsibility as the rest of the world. When you say that a county has to decrease its disposal by a certain amount, you know for sure that the people who live there, will not accomplish that exact amount that we hope for. That’s why we should set more strict bounderies for our comsumpsions, and hope that we acheive what we need to.
People in USA, China and other huge countries should really start putting new energy sources to use. Instead of all the engergy coming from fossil fules and coal, try to use cleaner energy-sources like the wind, the sun, hydrogen and non-polluting fuel cells.
A lot of people in big cities like New York, could walk or ride their bikes more often, concitering that the distance they have to go to get to work, is not long compared to what people in f.example Norway have to. That way, you can avoid beeing stuck in traffic for a long time as well. Of course this does not include everyone, but a big part of us, I would say.
Since motor vihecles are responsible for about a third of the carbon dioxide emissions in the Unitede States, I think we should try to choose those cars who are most fuel efficient.
Since China is the biggest country in the world, I can understand that it’s hard for them NOT to be one of the most polluting nations. But since they’re so big, it would probably help our planet if they were aware of tiny, but still important things as not leaving the fridge door open to long, turn down the temperature on their bathroom floor one dregee, and stop buying unnessecary things.
Of course this is not a bunch of lies. You might think that some people are making a really big deal out of this and makes it sound like it’s so much worse than it really is, but they’re telling the truth.
It’s just hard for us to imagine what things would look like 50 years from now, and that’s what makes it so hard for us to take action. That’s horrible, because now is the time to do something about it. Maybe, in 50 years, it will be to late. I think that if anything is worth saving, it’s our planet and all its habitans.
I believe that this has been waiting to come for hundreds of years, and it’s not possible for us to prevent it from happening.
But we are speeding up the process and heading for a catastrophic disaster way to soon.
We have to work together and take action if we want to save Mother Earth, and we better do it now!
I found these great citations on an even better page: http://www.commondreams.org/views/071700-101.htm
I think it explains exactly what we need to focus on and gives you a concrete explanation on what’s happenig.
“First, keep in mind the goal, which is to bring the potentially catastrophic warming under control by curtailing the release of carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases into the atmosphere.”
“We caused the problem and we have within our grasp a variety of potential solutions. To ignore those solutions, to be aware of them but not make use of them, is not just profoundly destructive, it’s suicidal.”
Wow, What an amazing text O.o
Really great 😀
“Of course this is not a bunch of lies.”
– I totally agree!
Now that is what I am talking about! Excellent job! Your text was written like a pro! I dont think it is a bunch of lies either. 😉
